You know St Andrews. Every golfer does. But walk through town on a Tuesday morning in March, and you'll see something beyond the pilgrimage site most people know.
There's the woman walking her terrier past the R&A clubhouse like it's just another building. The coffee shop owner who unlocks his door at 6 AM, same as he has for fifteen years, watching the groundskeepers finish their early work on the Old Course. The house lights coming on in windows that frame the 18th green, where residents get their morning news with a side of golf history.
This is St Andrews as a place people actually live, not just visit. And right now, you can join them.
We've tracked down ten homes currently for sale in and around town. Some sit on cobbled streets where you'll walk past centuries-old buildings to grab dinner. Others perch on dunes where the only sound at sunrise is wind through the gorse and the distant thump of a ball finding the bottom of the cup.

Destination Introduction: St Andrews, Fife.
Walk down Market Street at 7 AM and you'll see what makes St Andrews different. Students hurry past golfers heading to the first tee. Someone's already claimed the bench overlooking the 18th green, coffee in hand, watching the Old Course wake up.
This isn't a town built around golf. It's a town where golf grew up naturally. The Old Course has been here since the 1400s, shaping everything from street layouts to morning routines.
That's exactly why people want to live here. Quick nine holes after work. Putts dropping on the practice green after dinner. Walking to some of the world's best golf.
The catch? Everyone else knows this too. Inventory is tight, good properties move fast, and prices reflect the demand.
